Members of the Parish Church Primary School chess club
Parish Church Primary School held the final round of their school chess competition, which is part of National Championships.
Around 28 children, aged between 6 and 11, have been playing matches one dinnertime a week for the past seven weeks. Eight of the children have secured enough points or won their gender/age group competition to be selected to take part in the Lincolnshire Mega Final in Lincoln on 4th May.
The overall winner of the competition was Luke Crossley who said:
“ I know it will be very tough at Lincoln, but I’m looking forward to it.”
